Job Description
Role Purpose
As Sportsbook Operations Manager , you will be a key strategic lead across the UK sportsbook ensuring that its promotions, bonus investments, and customer incentives are optimised to drive maximum customer and business value.
This role requires a deep understanding of the brand's strategic positioning and customer base, working closely with internal stakeholders to refine operational processes, improve bonus efficiency, and drive data-led decision-making .
By collaborating with Proposition Managers, Fulfilment teams, BI, and Data teams , you will help evolve our sportsbook offering, ensuring it is not only reactive to performance trends but proactively aligned with long-term growth objectives .
Key Responsibilities
1. Sportsbook Execution & Brand Alignment
- Act as an Operational Lead for the UK Sportsbook ensuring that all sportsbook initiatives align with its strategic goals.
- Oversee the execution of promotions, bonuses, and incentives , ensuring maximum effectiveness.
- Work closely with Proposition Managers and Commercial teams to ensure sportsbook promotions are operationally efficient and customer focused .
- Develop a deep understanding of brand positioning, customer behaviours, and sportsbook performance trends to shape decision-making.
2. Bonus Efficiency & Budgeting
- Monitor and analyse bonus spend efficiency for your brand, identifying new ways to optimise investment .
- Work closely with Proposition teams to test and implement strategies that influence customer behaviour and drive the best overall business outcome .
- Work alongside Propositions team to manage the overall bonus budget, ensuring accurate phasing and efficiency
3. Data-Driven Decision Making & Insight Generation
- Partner with Data teams to generate performance analysis and insights that shape bonus strategy and sportsbook investments.
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and deep dives on sportsbook performance, bonus impact, and customer engagement trends.
- Leverage data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities , making proactive recommendations to stakeholders.
4. Cross-Team Collaboration & Operational Excellence
- Work closely with Proposition Managers, Fulfilment, and CRM teams to improve systems, processes, and execution of sportsbook incentives.
- Support the Head of Sportsbook Operations in embedding best practices across teams, improving workflows and campaign planning.
- Ensure smooth execution of sportsbook promotions, bonuses, and campaigns through close collaboration with fulfilment teams .
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify and implement new ways of working that drive sportsbook operational excellence.
- Take a proactive role in shaping strategy , challenging existing processes, and introducing new efficiencies.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to ensure best-in-class promotional strategies .
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in sportsbook operations, bonus optimisation, CRM, or a related role .
- Deep understanding of sports betting, player behaviour, and brand strategy .
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights .
- Experience working closely with Proposition, Data, and Player Marketing teams to refine customer engagement strategies.
- Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment , with the ability to react quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills , with a strategic mindset and an ability to challenge the status quo.
