Meet Andy, one of our awesome Senior Commercial Analysts in the Commercial Insights team.

We spoke to Andy, one of our Senior Commercial Analysts to find out how the team develops these commercial insights through storytelling.
Tell us about your role and what you do in the Commercial Insights team.
My name is Andy Beech and I am a Senior Commercial Analyst within Commercial Insights. I joined Entain in August 2021 when the Commercial Insights Team was just a few months old with 10 team members. Over last 14 months the team has grown to over 40 members, including our partnering Web Tracking Team. Since joining, my main responsibilities have been with Product, measuring the benefit of deliverables from the 2022 Product Roadmap. Other areas of the team cover CX, Payments, Web Tracking and a variety of new and exciting workstreams.
What is so great about working in the team?
One of the benefits of working in a newly formed team, is that the potential is massive. We have seen our team initially work with 3 specific business areas but have since broadened our horizons by picking up an additional 4 fully-fledged analytical workstreams. Working in Commercial Insights provides you with brilliant opportunities for exposure to many areas of the business and allows you to develop a deep understanding of how data can influence decisions and drive change.
Not only are the business opportunities rife, but you get to meet a group of like-minded people, passionate about data, and work with them as a close-knit team. We are a team that formed during the lockdown, but that hasn’t stopped good relationships building… and with the ability to now get back into the office comes many more social opportunities to continue building those bonds.

What type of roles and opportunities are on offer in the team?
We have a really wide range of opportunities on offer in the team at the moment, but as I mentioned, we’re always growing the team with the new and exciting projects were taking on. Whether you’re a Senior Commercial Analyst, Commercial Analyst interested in Gamification, or anything in between, we’ve got lots on offer.

What type of individual do you look for when hiring in your team?
We are looking for individuals with a combined skillset of deep analytical knowledge and the ability to articulate findings to a senior audience. We work very closely with stakeholders, taking a business partnering approach to our projects, so being approachable and accommodating is paramount.
