Transgender Day of Visbility
31st March is International Transgender Day of Visibility, more commonly known as TDoV.
Since 2009 this has been a day to celebrate the accomplishments and victories of transgender & gender non-conforming people while raising awareness of the work that is still needed to save trans lives.
And that’s exactly what we’re doing today at Entain - celebrating the trans community and our trans colleagues.
Here are some ways you can find out more.
Taking over Entain Voices
Our amazing colleague Sophie Wood leads on our first Inclusion takeover of our Entain Voices podcast.
Sophie has been instrumental in our trans inclusion work here at Entain and she shares her story and calls for active allies across the business. Check out a sneak peek of the podcast below!
You can find the full podcast on our Buzzsprout feed or on Spotify!
Entain’s journey to support our people
We kicked off 2020 partnering with Gendered Intelligence, a charity whose aim is to increase understanding of gender diversity and improve trans people’s quality of life, training over 40 of our people in Employee Relations and HR Frontline on trans inclusion.
2020 also saw us launching our Global Trans Inclusion policy along with our global transitioning at work guidance for both managers and our people.
We also worked with the Reward team in their review of Entain’s health insurance provider to look at how we can provide a wider level of cover for our trans people. We’re proud to say that we have started our support for colleagues.
We know that this is just the start and there’s still a lot to do.
We’re here for our people
At Entain, we also offer a free 24/7/365 Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) manned by professional counsellors who LGBTQ+ friendly and affirmative.
And, last but not least, for learning resources and community support, visit these organisations that help educate, raise awareness and aim to improve trans’ quality of life:
