Job Description
Entain’s Canada, Iberia & Latin America Region (CILA) team is looking to hire a Senior Associate of Strategy and Finance to help support the team setting the strategy and providing financial steer for the region. This highly exciting role works directly with multiple groups across Entain both regionally and centrally, including Digital, Product and Technology, Operations, Marketing, Sales, international and corporate leadership to support the defining and execution of the strategy for the region, as well as assessing its financial performance.
We are looking for talented Strategy & Finance professionals with the highest standards of integrity who have previously worked in Investment Banking or Strategy Consulting and are looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced commercial environment. The successful candidate must have experience establishing corporate strategy frameworks and conducting financial forecasting exercises. The regional Finance & Strategy team works with Entain's executive leadership in shaping strategies to drive growth and innovation across the company and reports to the regional Managing Director. The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience of influencing Executive leaders on key strategic and investment topics. The successful candidate must have experience of executing commercial due diligence and growth strategy initiatives. Experience within the sports and gaming vertical is a must for this role.
Job duties
This is an exciting associate-level role within a rapidly growing team, offering exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, including:
- Strategic planning support: Assist in the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth, market expansion, and competitive positioning across CILA markets.
- Market & competitive research: Conduct analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to help identify business opportunities and potential risks.
- Business performance analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, finance, etc.) to support optimization efforts and implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Data-driven insights: Perform data analysis to generate business insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Thought leadership contribution: Stay informed about industry developments and provide relevant insights to support the team’s strategic direction.
- Strategic project assistance: Support high-visibility growth strategy projects through research, analysis, financial modeling, and preparation of presentations for internal stakeholders.
- Stakeholder coordination: Assist in preparing insightful materials and analyses to support senior leadership decision-making processes.
- Internal collaboration: Help facilitate effective communication and idea-sharing across different teams within the broader organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in business, finance, or technical discipline, given the highly technical nature of this role, candidates with top grades, honors or distinctions preferred
- 2+ years’ experience in strategy consulting or investment banking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity
- Knowledge and ability to apply business frameworks (e.g. SWOT, value chain, competitive forces, core competency analysis)
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in advance analytics, e.g., python, R, SQL preferred
- Proficiency in business writing and verbal communications, including delivery of presentations to executive business leaders
- Strong interest in the betting, games, media, technology, and entertainment industries
- Language skills a plus specifically English and Portuguese
- Flexibility to travel and work across various time zones globally
