In the UK we run a collection of the most iconic consumer brands including Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala and Foxy. In this role you’ll be responsible for running the direct marketing activity for Gala and Foxy brands – sending marketing communications to our customers. Our ambition is providing bespoke customer engagement plans for each customer, so that no two customers marketing experiences are the same. 

To be successful in this rule you will have to be a brilliant people motivator capable of driving the “BAU” More importantly transforming our function to be the best DM team in the world.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning

  • Build the 3-year CRM strategy proposition for the Gaming Brands, defining how the CRM service will evolve to be the most personalised response driven function in the world. Put customers at the heart of this planning and build experiences our customers enjoy
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles to align with financial targets set quarterly, delivering YoY growth in retention and reactivation.
  • Build marketing innovations that actively drive customer retention and reactivation, and do so in away the increases the marginal NGR gain from each activity.
  • Define KPI (Key Performance Indicators) sets to monitor reach, response, and NGR generated through the function.
  • Engage with P&L Leads to develop buy in
Change Management:
  • Build and implement personalization strategies, making necessary changes to content and data flows, as well as planning and implementation processes
  • Drive efficiency, increasing the volume of high response / high profit campaigns without recourse to increased headcount
  • Communicate change effectively to the teams, building buy in and support as you go.
  • Engage with leads in product and or technology to agree development and implementation roadmaps
Marketing Execution
  • Work to high quality standards, ensuring errors in execution (creative, audience, proposition) are always registered, and minimised.
  • Manage Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reporting and review cycle, demonstrating how CRM has progressed in terms of both its financial targets and its innovation roadmap.

Innovation & Development

  • Build long term capability roadmap for evolution of Gaming Brands capability in support of product and proposition alignment.
  • Collaborate with Ad-Tech/Mar-Tech/BI teams for product innovations and development (e.g., CRM platform capability, reporting, new CRM Channels).
  • Own the “test & learn roadmap”, ensure a successful learning process and a reporting structure.
  • Engage with analytics teams to build new segmentation and prediction models, and new ways of measuring ROI
People Management:
  • Build a world class CRM team, who are resilient to change and lead best practice within the Entain Group.
  • Deliver group leading Engagement scores for your team, working collaboratively to drive improving employee engagement over time.
  • Set Challenging Development Goals for your team, ensuring. that your team's capability tangibly improves over time.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance individual expertise against personal development plans. Identify areas to support skill gaps while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Specialist skills and experience:


  • Extensive experience of business to consumer comms planning, working in either CRM or Performance marketing function.
  • Min of 5 years' experience in cross-channel Marketing functions within digitally focused businesses.
  • Fluent in the analysis and presentation of data; complex data sets reduced to clear messages resulting in action from the various marketing teams.
  • Experience of performance marketing – particularly in CRM and driving improved ROI through improved response rates.
  • Hands on data analysis skills, able to analyse raw data in excel and tell a simple story from it.
  • Demonstrated ability to think Creativity and Strategically; ability to articulate ideas clearly.
  • Good understanding of User Journeys, UX, Usability and Front-End technologies used to deliver them.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to build relationships to influence and guide amongst different levels of stakeholder seniority.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to different levels of stakeholders, using the appropriate level of detail.


  • Experience in the Gaming industry a positive but not essential.
  • Exposure to marketing planning in owned and earned media.
  • Hands on experience with Media / Marketing Measurement techniques.
  • Experience of developing Customer Centric products, marketing campaigns or experiences in roles.
