You will be focused on enhancing and improving the overall performance of our payments portfolio across all markets and brands.

A key deliverable of this role is to monitor, analyse and report on the performance of all our payment methods. You will need to have attention for detail to actively identify key areas for improvement and a collaborative approach to work with internal teams and external providers to deliver improvements.

You will become an active liaison point for escalations from our Payments Operations, Risk Operations and Finance Operations teams. Your focus will be to help resolve issues through your strong working relationships with our Payment Providers.

A core element of this role is facilitating access to payment provider systems, offering support to internal colleagues, managing the sign off process to enable access and resolving any issues.

You will be operating in the thick of it, dealing with daily tasks reported through our group mailboxes, providing timely responses to both internal teams and our external providers.

Your eye will always be on identifying the next opportunity to delight our customers, internal and external.

Key responsibilities

  • Day-to-day maintenance of our payment provider accounts including:
  • Granting and monitoring user access to provider backoffice systems,
  • Ensuring company information (entity details, contact names, bank account details etc.) are up to date with all providers,
  • Monitoring MID usage and closing any dormant MIDs
  • Responding to queries and helping to resolve any issues (e.g. missing funds, transaction issues etc.).
  • Support Relationship Managers with the management of our payment providers
  • Using the weekly and monthly reports, monitor the deposit and withdrawal activity and success rates to identify anomalies and raise any areas of concern
  • Provide liaison point for internal teams in the reporting and escalation of issues with payment providers.
  • Work with finance and relationship management team to conduct quarterly checks to ensure provider fees are accurate and correctly charged.
  • Monitor reported issues and escalations, report on progress of resolutions including recovery of funds
  • Monthly payment reporting to provide insight on payment performance across key markets and brands.
  • Ongoing development and updating of our standard operating procedures and processes ensuring a consistent level of performance and quality.
  • Develop and manage new process for monitoring and tracking provider backoffice users.
  • Work closely with the team on the new KYC and Due Diligence processes for Payment providers. Create a process to track annual provider reviews. Align with internal AML and Cyber Security teams to conduct new provider reviews and ensure all Due Diligence and security reviews are conducted on a regular basis.
  • Support Finance team with the annual external audits and year-end balance confirmations.
  • Maintain and update Payment Method Matrix

Occasional:

  • Involvement in the delivery and execution of projects as required.
  • Support the development of business cases and payment performance reports.
  • Liaise with external Payment Providers reporting issues and driving the delivery of action plans.
  • Help with market and competitor analysis as needed.

Specialist skills and experience

Essential:

  • Data-driven and detail-orientated with good analytical, problem-solving skills
  • Ability to present data and detailed information using PowerPoint or other presentation software
  • Good experience of Excel
  • Basic project management skills
