About The Role
Job Title: Team Lead - HR Operations (all genders)
Contract : 12 Month FTC (Maternity)

The Role in a Nutshell:

You will be responsible for a team up to 3 team members based in Vienna, who on a daily basis provide transactional (including payroll) and first line advisory support to our employees and managers across the employee lifecycle. Further you will be leading a team of 3 members in our Bulgarian Entity

On a day-to-day basis you will be hands on delivering on tasks as well as overseeing the activity of your team, to drive performance and deliver outstanding customer care to our employees and managers.

With an ambition for developing people, you will coach and develop your team through regular performance reviews and 1-2-1 sessions.

You need to have a passion for change as we are always looking at ways, we can improve our processes and procedures across the HR function.

You will collaborate with the wider HR team and manage key stakeholders relationships in order to proactively plan service delivery. 

What you'll be doing:

Support the provision of a timely, consistent HR service to managers, employees and external parties ensuring compliance with employment legislation, policies and good employment practice via effective supervision of the operations team and hands on delivery of activities and tasks
Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to deliver a service to the business 
Lead and develop the team in order to ensure they meet objectives and delivers a high-quality administrative service to employees, line managers and other areas of the wider HR team
Fully responsible for payroll. Hold key relationship with external payroll related providers
Ensure data accuracy of employee data in Vienna
Lead and develop the team in order to ensure they meet objectives and delivers a high-quality administrative service to employees
Plan and allocate case management to ensure effective distribution of work and day to day duties to the team
Assist in the development / improvement of procedures and application of policy, ensuring that all written
procedures and how to guides are kept up to date
Conduct and support with audits and quality reviews to ensure data accuracy and adherence to policy / process / SLAs and KPIs
Process all team administration in line with work instructions and procedures, SLAs and act as first point of escalation / query resolution for all advisors/ administrators within the team and where appropriate, ensure the correct escalation of queries or cases to Subject Matter Expert
What we need from you:
Fluent in English and German
Thorough knowledge of Austrian labor law with focus on time and attendance
experience leading a team, including developing those in their early career or in junior roles
Strong Payroll experience
Previous experience of developing and continually improving HR processes and procedures
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and build good working relationships at all levels 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Highly organised with an ability to prioritise
High team ethic – willing to support colleagues and get involved
Working to SLAs, KPI’s policies and procedures
Working with confidential and sensitive matters
Providing advice and guidance
Proficiency with MS Office e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Experience and understanding of Employee Relations and HR policies and processes
Experience of using HR Systems
