Purpose of role

In the UK we run a collection of the most iconic consumer brands including Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala, Foxy and Cheeky Bingo. In this role you’ll be responsible for running the direct marketing activity for these brands – sending marketing communications to our customers. Our ambition is providing bespoke customer engagement plans for each customer, so that no two customers marketing experiences are the same.

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have to be analytical, technical, and creative. The ideal candidate is passionate about the digital advertising ecosystem and must have a self-starter, result-driven mindset. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting performance campaigns, as well as working alongside the marketing, conversion and creative team to ensure performance efficiency and growth against monthly targets.

 

Key responsibilities

Strategy and Planning

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, analysing, and optimizing campaign performance, including impact on KPIs. E.g. FTDs, CPDs, pNGR, Conversions Rates etc. across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads & Apple Search Ads.
  • Ideation and creative thinking required as promotions and campaigns must increase customer satisfaction and interaction.
  • Identify new opportunities to scale activity. Translate them into media plans, considering previous performance and upcoming Sport events and/or Gaming Propositions around payday cycles.
  • Continues monitoring of channel performance/budgets. Where needed re-forecast to shift/request budget to maximize results

    Marketing Execution

  • Accountable for the day-to-day UA campaign management on SEM platforms, including Google Ad, Microsoft Ads & Apple Search Ads.
  • Contribute ideas & run A/B and multivariate tests across digital channels to analyse and improve performance against business KPIs.
  • Ensure SEM campaign tracking is implemented correctly so media spend can be efficiently measured and attributed back to the relevant budget. Work alongside the conversion team to QA conversion journeys and ensure they’re fully optimised.
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance reports. Present findings, results and recommendations on campaign strategies, target groups and creative efficiency.
  • Coordinate creative assets and landing pages request. Report back performance insights to creative studio and brand marketing team to keep improving creative efficiency.
  • Promptly flag performance drops, identify possible causes and execute correction.
  • Support the SEM team with regular competitor analysis and audience insights that which will provide benchmarks and ideas to innovate.
  • Attend all relevant stakeholder meetings. During these sessions share channel specific insights & share actions with Senior PPC Manager.
  • Work with Brand and (Real Time) CRM to ensure the full player marketing funnel is in harmony from a creative/message/proposition/audience point of view.
  • Keep up to date with Industry and SEM best practices and trends.
  • Work closely with other teams / groups from across the business to drive adoption of technical specialism.
  • Build & maintain 3rd party relationships with partners.
  • When required, provide specialist training to upskill the team.

    Innovation

  • Collaborate with Mar-Tech/BI teams for product innovations and or development (e.g. platform capability).
  • Own the “test & learn roadmap”, ensure a successful learning process and a reporting structure.

Specialist skills and experience

 

  • At least 3 years hands on experience managing SEM activity across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and/or Apple Search Ads.
  • At least 1.5 years of experience in the Gambling Industry
  • Knowledge of sports is an advantage
  • Technical experience working in social media advertising tools and platforms is advantageous
  • Strong analytic and qualitative skills with the ability to analyse and use data efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to engage and collaborate within a large organisation.
  • Solution focused and able to thrive in a result-oriented, high paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to present ideas.
  • Self-starter with proactive attitude to work.
  • Fluent in the analysis and presentation of data; complex data sets reduced to clear messages resulting in action from the various marketing teams.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising legislation and codes of practice.
