About The Role

Title: Management Accountant - FTC 16 - 18 months

The Management Accountant will be responsible for the review and analysis of UK Digital revenue reconciliations of player activity ensuring that gaming related intercompany recharges are recorded and reconciled in full.

As a part of the Balance Sheet team, will assist in the monthly Tracker tasks and all relevant requests from Group, Internal and External audit. Is also responsible for reviewing the accounting of cash transactions and related costs for the Digital division carried out by the FSS in India to ensure both costs and balance sheet position are accounted for accurately and on a timely basis by brand and division.

This role reports to the Balance Sheet Controller as part of the Financial Control department.

Key Responsibilities

Balance Sheet

  • Creation of reports (ORCs) to give breakdowns of certain Balance Sheet balances with respect to entity, supplier or other Microstrategy category.
  • Ensure other team members are correctly linking their reconciliations and reporting completion in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with the collation and communication of relevant reconciliations and documentation for Critical Controls testing.
  • Preparation and communication of the Intercompany Matrix for Digital.
  • Assist the Balance Sheet Controller with Group and external audit requests.

Revenue

  • Reconciliation of the UKD revenue to the monthly reporting to the stakeholders, giving insight to the variances.
  • Checking and monitoring of customer balance activity invoices, including Network Jackpots and Totepool.
  • Review customer balance corrections coding to ensure revenue adjustments are accurately reflected.
  • Monitoring of retail transactions going through the system rec, assisting with any variances to the data from shop till system.

Cost of Sales

  • Review of the payment processing fees posting for completion
  • Working with FSS for variance analysis to forecasts
  • Control of the Sports rev share costs
  • Report any unusual trends to the Head of Financial Control

Cash Control

  • Calculation of transfer requests to ensure that ring fenced monies are held in Trust accounts in line with the terms and conditions of the brands.
  • Review and approve the cash reconciliations produced by the FFS team in India ensuring all reconciling items are understood, evidenced and cleared in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the Player Cash Reconciliation function across all Digital brands, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the processes carried out by the FSS team in India.
  • Ensure the timely processing and accounting for all payment supplier fees, bank charges and chargebacks
  • Communication with the Treasury department with respect to fund requirements and relationships with the banks.
  • Ensure all divisional cash movements are recorded correctly through the intercompany balances.
  • Responsible for the investigation of the coding of cash movements that FSS are unable to identify.

Other

  • Monthly calculation and invoicing for intercompany recharges.
  • Monthly accounting and reporting packs French and Irish entities.
