Our newly formed People Operations, Services & Experience team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. Our aim will be to develop efficient and simple people processes, systems, and maximize our technology.

The Job In A Nutshell: 

We are seeking a People & Payroll Coordinator who will form part of People Operations, Services & Experience department for Gibraltar and will focus on delivering transactional and first line support to our local employees and managers. On a day-to-day basis you will be hands on in delivering tasks in-line within the local processes.

You need to have a passion for change, as we are always looking to improve our processes and procedures across the function. You will also be an individual who revels in a fast-paced environment who can own a task and complete to the best of your ability.

You will collaborate with your peers internationally, keeping up to date with Global People Services to proactively plan service delivery.


Key responsibilities

•          Respond to employee and manager queries as and when required, escalating more complex issues to the Global People Services Manager, Employee Relations and HR Business Partners.

•          Support the new starters lifecycle and the administration for new employees including all onboarding activities.

•          Delivering and supporting of an accurate monthly payroll.

•          Processing of invoices as per process as and when needed.

•          Maintain employee records.

•          Maintain Oracle database

•          Report contractual changes and legislative requirements to Government of Gibraltar Employment Offices.

•          Creating and issuing contract amendments documents.

•          Effective processing and Off-boarding of leavers.

•          Manage mailboxes to resolve employee queries.

•          Support ad-hoc tasks from Global People Services Manager.

•          Complete RTW checks and apply for Work Permits

•          Complete HEPSS Applications

•          Be a key contributor to a core area of specialty, Work Permit, Maternities, HEPSS, Tax


Specialist skills and experience

•          Previous payroll experience.

•          Team player with a willingness to collaborate with peers.

•          Knowledge of Oracle is adventitious

•          Familiar with Microsoft applications.

•          Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

•          Excellent administrative skills.

•          Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

•          Previous experience in similar role.

•          Previous experience in a Shared Service is advantageous
