This role is an exciting opportunity in the Compliance department with one of the largest global sports betting and gaming operators. As a Compliance Manager in the Compliance team you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Regulatory Compliance in advising the business on key regulatory and licencing matters for the UK and Gibraltar markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contact and liaison for regulatory / licensing queries in relation to:
    • Requests for information and customer enquiries from regulators in GB or Gibraltar
    • New online product ideas from the business and their jurisdictional implications
    • Online product queries associated with GB Commission’s RTS requirements or the Gibraltar regulators’ RTOS requirements
    • Data requests from regulators
    • Analysing new guidance and requirements from regulators, identifying gaps and ensuring any required changes are implemented
  • Maintaining accurate records and management of timelines for all of the above is an essential part of the job.
  • As part of delivering these key tasks ensure alignment across other key stakeholders involved namely Customer Due Diligence & Customer Protection teams, Legal, Operations and other senior Personal Management License holders in the business.
  • Support Entain’s Corporate strategy and Core Values under the Compliance Management System.
The Compliance Management System is designed to create a robust second line of defense in governance and risk management adhering to recognised international standards. This will involve monitoring overall Compliance with regulations via risk assessments and gap analyses against regulations, guidance and legislation. Ensure processes and procedures are followed and policy documents are updated and accurate.

Other Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to have a detailed knowledge of the Compliance and Regulatory landscape across a broad spectrum of Compliance subjects and have the capability to offer advice and guidance to teams across the business.
  • Assisting & overseeing work on Personal Management Licenses & Regulatory Returns
  • Deliver high quality Compliance analysis and support for all brands.
  • Develop good relationships with the Retail and Digital Compliance teams as well as other Group / Corporate functions within the business.
  • Encourage communication and collaboration across the business, team and stakeholders in order to build strong relationships and develop cross functional working
  • You will be expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of Compliance processes to support more effective, efficient delivery of Compliance initiatives

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience

  • An independent, motivated, self-starter.
  • Dynamic, ambitious, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Compliance and regulatory environment, with particular focus on GB and Gibraltar gambling regulations.
  • At least 5 years compliance and regulatory experience in a fast paced, regulated environment.
  • Experience working on multiple projects at once, across multiple geographical locations and with 3rd parties.
  • Detail focused but able to see the “big picture” and maintain progress.
  • Excellent listening, interviewing, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills which delivers messages clearly and confidently at all levels.
  • A team player who shows respect and values the views of others.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach – equally comfortable managing top level activity and also getting involved operationally to make things happen.
  • Commerciality – working knowledge of business finance to support a project’s impact on the business P&L, including knowledge of terminology, measures, etc.
