Working as part of the remote gaming server team, to support our In house games studios. You’ll ensure that the gaming servers and environments are optimised and maximum uptime Is maintained to deliver commercial benefit. A key area of the role is working to expand the supply of the platform to new markets and implementing new technology, as well as delivering 2nd line support tasks and helping to deliver all new enhancements and developments.

Key responsibilities


  • Work alongside our Infrastructure, Network and Operations teams ensuring availability of our gaming platform to provide a consistent user experience for our players,
  • Carry out Linux system deployment, configuration and management tasks within our Testing, Staging and Production environments,
  • Take responsibility for incident response, change request management and software deployment tracking within our internal systems,
  • Provide support to our internal development and testing teams to ensure release roadmaps and deadlines are met for new and updated content,
  • Provide Level 1 / Level 2 support to the wider business for customer support escalations adhering to company SLAs within office hours,
  • Provide level 2 On-Call support out of hours


  • Provide mentoring and support to internal departments when implementing new back office tooling,
  • Identify and implemental internal process, system design and software improvements to ensure a commercial advantage over our competitors

Specialist skills and experience


  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL / CentOS / Oracle Linux Preferrable)
  • Some experience in scripting Languages (Bash, Python)
  • Some experience with Web server configuration and Management (NGINX, Apache, Tomcat, PHP)
  • Some experience working with SQL Databases (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Foundational understanding of load balancing (Experience with HAProxy preferred but not essential)
  • Some Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues across distributed platforms
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


  • Experience implementing or working with server automation and configuration systems (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Experience implementing or working with CI/CD software pipelines
