Job Purpose

As a senior internal auditor, your primary responsibility will be to provide independent, objective assurance over processes and functions within the business in accordance with the audit plan. This is a wide-ranging role and you will be required to undertake audits of diverse processes such anti-money laundering processes, financial controls or digital marketing operations, as well as potentially working across GVC’s business operations in 37 countries. 
Responsibilities
- Deliver the audits assigned to you from the annual audit plan, including planning, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up. Audits could include:
o Financial controls processes
o Affiliate marketing
o Regulatory compliance processes 
o GDPR and data privacy management
o In-flight and completed strategic projects
o HR and recruitment
- Contribute to testing as part of a joint audit team with the IT audit function
- Contribute to the identification and documentation of risk in the audit universe, working in partnership with the risk department to ensure the transfer of key risks to risk management processes
- Participate in multi-person audit teams on larger audit assignments
- Sometimes work as the lead auditor on a cross-disciplinary or multi-auditor engagements, acting as manager for the audit
- Ensure that all audit work is completed against agreed quality standards within the specified time frames and budget 
- Create high quality, value-adding commercially focused reports identifying areas of deficiency with clear and concise recommendations 
- Partner the business in remediating any issues identified, exploring possible solutions with the key stakeholders and following through to agree action plans and obtain regular updates on the progress of those plans
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and support other ad hoc projects as they arise 
- Deliver advisory services to business stakeholders when required, including giving controls advice or assisting in project governance
- Develop long term working relationships with key business stakeholders and within the IA and other commercial functions 
- Participate in the preparation of the audit committee papers -

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

- Degree qualified 
- Professionally certified auditor, preferably IIA, CISA or accountant with 5+ years PQE in audit

Specialist Skills and Experience Required

- Relevant industry experience is beneficial but not necessary
- Internal audit experience preferred although candidates direct from consulting practice will be considered
- Ability to be able to work independently with minimal supervision – strong self-starter with good time management skills
- Strong core audit skills, knowledge of IIA professional standards and understanding of up-to-date auditing methodologies and concepts, including agile audit
- Strong business and commercial acumen 
- Experience with data driven auditing & analytical reviews 
- Previous experience working within a regulatory environment 
- Highly motivated, honest, approachable and collaborative individual 
- Experience partnering the business in order to facilitate improvement 
- Strong communications skills; clear and concise communicator (written and oral) 
- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills 
- Experience working within a large, complex, multinational organisation with familiarity with the risk, control and governance structure
