We are looking for a qualified Finance Professional to join our team to be based either from our Nottingham or London office.
The Role in a Nutshell:
The Group Reporting and Planning Manager will manage all internal Group level P&L and KPI reporting, including gathering of requirements, designing reports, and reporting processes and delivering regular and ad hoc reports to the CFO, Group Executive Committee and Group Board as well as managing all external Group level reporting and the consolidation of the annual P&L plan.
What you'll be doing:
- Own the process for producing accurate and timely delivery of:
- daily, weekly and monthly consolidated Group reports to an audience which includes the Group Board and
- regular and ad hoc consolidated Group external reports both to evolving requirements
- Build strong collaborative working relationships within the Group Finance team, with the Investor Relations team and with the divisional finance teams.
- Continuously improve Group reporting processes
- Add value to trading performance reports, analysis and presentations, and external reports (including the Interim Management Statements, the half year review and the Annual Report & Accounts) by including insightful commentary, based on a deep understanding of the factors influencing divisional performance and the underlying planning assumptions
- Own the construct, changes to and consistent use of the Group wide chart of accounts across the Group
- Ensure the Group wide consistency of KPI and reporting definitions
- Agree, communicate and manage to a Group wide annual planning timetable.
- Own the process by which divisional plans are submitted to Group Finance, consolidated, presented to the Group Board and incorporated into Group consolidated reports
- Provide support to the Investor Relations team in answering ad hoc investor and analyst’s queries, updating on current trading and providing insight on current forecasts
- Support the Director of Financial Control and the Head of Group FP&A in the delivery of the Group financial control agenda
