Objective of the role:  


As the Head of Gamification & New Customer Experiences you will lead our gamification strategy across our suite of products by creating new experiences to encourage user engagement. You will layer gamification elements in existing experiences to achieve a deeper level of customer engagement across spectator, RNG and skill wagering products.


Along with the VP of Product, manage the roadmap and direction of gamification at Unikrn with a focus on creation, innovation and optimizing our product offering.

 

Working closely with our world class Technology team, you will scope out new minigames and features into user Stories and provide written business requirements to different teams from ideation to final delivery. You will need to work with our collaboration tools (Jira) and provide clear and easily consumable progress reports to stakeholders.


Role Responsibilities 

 

  • Create the gamification vision and strategic initiatives driving positive commercial outcomes for our product suite

  • Lead ideation of our gamification suite with product, design, engineering, marketing and content to develop a framework for Gamification experience development

  • Develop mini game experiences which reward player engagement and help drive our vision for wagering as a form of interactive entertainment

  • Design gamification strategies that lead to desired behaviors and achieve monetization

  • Drive innovation by using our leaderboards, quests, achievements, social, battlepass and subscription features to create best in class retention and customer experiences

  • Monitor industry trends and interactive engagement products in market to further our gamification and new experience roadmaps

  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to conduct and/or oversee research, metrics analysis, building KPI’s and measurement against these

Key Skills Required

  • Experience with Game design or previous Product Management, Business Analyst or similar

  • You have a great passion for games, have the desire to understand the market and you know what makes an authentic, sticky experience

  • Ability to independently lead conversations with senior leaders.

  • Track record in proposing and developing complex businesses cases

  • Track record in collaborating with developers and subject matter experts to refine the customer experience

  • Previous experience of working in a software development environment

  • Analytical approach to problem solving and attention to detail

  • Experience managing a team, leading and coordinating projects

  • Able to liaise with  distributed teams from different disciplines to deliver product milestones on time

  • A relentless learning mindset. Take ownership of both the wins and the losses, and take action to get more of the former.

  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives at once in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment

  • The ability to make quick decisions and iterate often.

  • Passion for learning and always improving yourself and the team around you

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm and friendly at all times

  • Excellent Communication skills – both verbal and written

  • Customer Centric, "can do" attitude - Always curious about their experience.

Exceptional candidates will have the following additional skills

  • Previous Gamification manager, Game designer, experience working in a Game Studio

  • Growth hacking, pragmatic marketing, product management certification or education preferred.

  • Track record in innovation and creation of sticky experiences

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Design, or related field. 

  • Professional experience in industries such as software engineering, design, data analysis.
