The global research function helps us understand the climate we’re operating in, how our brands are performing in a competitive context, and gives guidance on customer needs, motivations, preferences and intentions.

Entain invests heavily in its brands with a very significant marketing spend, and research is a critical pillar in managing that investment, alongside supporting the end-to-end customer experience across multiple products.

The global research team has a hub & spoke structure – the central parts based in London operate across our brand portfolio where we need harmonisation of measurement and the 3 localised teams work within the various brand P&L owners staying close to the ad hoc research requirement and development of individual brands (based in Gibraltar and Vienna).

What will this role involve? 

This role sits centrally, working both closely with local teams but also reporting insights from global trackers (Market Sizing, Brand Tracking, CSat) and trend-watching to the centralised group functions (BI, Group Strategy & Innovation, M&A, Responsible Gambling). Joining at a pivotal time as Entain boosts research investment in a new multi-country market sizing and brand health tracker, you’ll play a key role in establishing this study and embedding the communication and insight within the global organisation. This insight is to form a fundamental part of Entain’s planning and strategy process as well as providing key metrics from which to measure our performance.

This role will focus on tracking research studies where we want to align KPIs and measurement across brands and regions. This will predominantly be around brand health but also have the opportunity to extend area of focus on market sizing and advertising or communications effectiveness whenever the resource allows. Reporting to a Customer Research Manager, the role covers all Entain digital sports betting and gaming brands across the UK, Europe and South America. In the UK, it covers both the digital and retail channels.

You’ll be responsible for research delivery for these studies across multiple stages of the projects, supported both by your management team and the use of research agencies.

As a centre for excellence, the central market research team is also responsible for following innovative research approaches as they emerge and assessing how they could be employed across markets and research teams, as well as monitoring key consumer trends relevant to our core business and future strategy.

Who are we looking for?
  • 2+years in MR or consulting related to brand or holds MRS qualification
  • Experience in quantitative research (particularly detailed attention and view of research procedures)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Working previously with data tabulation tools – e.g. SPSS, Telmar, IMS, Choices, Q
  • Great at visualising data to be easy to follow and tell the story
  • Can demonstrate an eye for detail
  • Able to juggle priorities and deliver to tight deadlines


  • Ideally research agency trained
  • Knowledge of Q analysis tool, SPSS a plus
  • Gambling/gaming industry knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of statistics (incl. sig-testing, weighting, correlation, regression modelling etc) a plus
  • MRS training a plus (or equivalent overseas research body)
