About The Role

To be successful in this role you will be a forensic analyst you will be able to find patterns of fraud and bonus optimisation. You will become the expert within the UK Business on fraud analytics.

What you'll be doing:

  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Engage with stakeholders across the business in payments, core product design, proposition and marketing to build a detailed picture of player journeys and acquisition mechanics.
  • Ensure that mitigation strategies (as defined per below) are implemented successfully, and demonstrate that benefit to stakeholders
  • Drive cross-department co-operation, ensuring that teams work together to implement solutions to collective benefit (i.e., balance the fraud risk managed against the commercial loss of any mitigation strategy).

These teams would include:

  • Payments, Risk and Compliance teams
  • Sportsbook proposition
  • Gaming Proposition
  • Performance and Brand Marketing
  • Core Product
  • BI and Analytics
  • CEx

Diagnostics and Prevention:

  • Responsible for the prevention and detection of potential fraud across all channels by reviewing customers’ accounts, and playing behaviour
  • Identify fraud and bonus abuse patterns through monitoring and analysing data
  • Contribute to the creation of a commercial offers framework by providing analytical data to support decisions
  • Accurately document all actions taken on a case, to enable the patterns to be scaled and productionised.
  • Provide support to the Operational and Business units of the organization on fraud related matters
  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of fraud and bonus optimisation situation in the industry and become Entain’s evangelist.

What we'll need from you:

Essential:

  • Strong presentation skills; able to simplify and articulate complex domain areas confidently to senior stakeholders
  • Experience of problem solving under pressure, with the ability to prioritise
  • Capability to interpret data and drive business conclusions
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with experience creating clear, concise and professional documents
  • Articulate and confident when presenting the output of your work
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential
  • Experience working within a BI or data warehousing environment
  • Advanced SQL skills (Teradata, Presto)
  • Knowledge and experience with a modern Data Visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, QlikSense or similar),
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently

Desired:

  • Experience in the Gaming industry a positive but not essential.
  • Experience with Google BigQuery an advantage
  • Experience working with transactional data sets as well as data sets such as site and click stream analytics with billions of data records
