About The Role

Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

To support the Office Manager with achieving the Stadium’s trading and commercial objectives by developing and managing the Stadium’s financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with financial reporting and track the Stadium’s financial status and performance;
  • Manage the cash office and reconciliations;
  • Arrange prompt payment of bills and invoices;
  • Ensure completion of administrative procedures both manually and on-line to include but not limited to Company LL Forms, correct coding and payment of invoices and suppliers queries;
  • Manage aspects of payroll where necessary;
  • Ensure floats are available at the start of each race meeting and to replenish floats to agreed levels and discrepancies to be reported to the Office Manager;
  • To be available throughout each race meeting to process change requirements;
  • Check all monies coming in to the cash office and report cash differences;
  • Prepare monies for banking and have ready for collection;
  • Control petty cash payments;
  • Maintain the security of the cash office at all times;
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation regarding service of tote betting and update procedures where necessary;
  • Assist with recruitment and training administration for the Stadium;
  • Assist the Office Manger in producing and delivering internal communications to the Stadium;
  • To carry out any other reasonable requests made by the Office Manager.
  • To deputise for the Office Manager when necessary.
Health & Safety and Compliance Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all equipment in the Office area is working safely and is compliant with manufacturer’s guidelines for operation, reporting any concerns to the Office Manager.
Additional Information
Accountabilities:
  • You are required to follow the Managers Briefs (MB), Work Instruction Notices (WIN), or Stadia Operating Procedures (SOP) that are relevant to your role. These can be found on the company Intranet. 
  • The company may also communicate ad hoc notifications through line managers and notice boards - these will also form a part of your health and safety responsibilities.
Qualifications and Training Requirements:  
  • A Level or equivalent
  • AAT 3/4 Qualification is preferred but not essential
Specialist Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programmes and packages including Excel and Word
  • Experience in a similar role is essential
  • Knowledge of the betting industry
