In the UK we run some of the biggest consumer facing entertainments brands: Ladbrokes, Coral, Gala, Foxy and Cheeky Bingo. In this role you will be responsible for running the direct marketing activity for these brands – sending marketing communications to our customers. Our ambition is to provide bespoke customer engagement plans for each and every customer, so that no two customers marketing experiences are the same.

 

To be successful in this rule you will have to be a brilliant people motivator capable of driving the “BAU”, but more importantly transforming our function to be the best DM team in the world.

 
What you'll be doing:

Strategy and Planning

  • Build a mid-term strategy & framework for UK Digital for all CRM Paid Social activity including Facebook, Snapchat and other paid social advertising platforms.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and cost of all CRM Paid social activities to align with financial targets set quarterly,
  • Drive change, adopting new channels and capabilities / platforms as they arise. Clearly describing commercial benefits of changes as they are delivered.
  • Seen as a subject matter expert and has additional specialist responsibilities in onboarding new technology used to automate processes and improve customer journeys.

Marketing Execution

  • Oversees all CRM Paid Social activity. Accountable for the team`s performance, including achievement of key KPIs and commercial targets.Conduct weekly team meetings to follow up on tasks and make sure all activities are on track with the agreed KPIs and budget.
  • Work to high quality standards, ensuring errors in execution (creative, audience, proposition) are always registered, and minimised.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all promotional materials are compliant, appropriate, and competitive.
  • Responsible for creative and proposition strategy used in the Paid Social channel (in conjunction with brand promotional teams) to optimise performance by channel.
  • Manage Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly reporting and review cycle, demonstrating how Retain and Reactivate has progressed in terms of its financial and KPI targets and its innovation roadmap.
  •  Cross functional team collaboration and stakeholder management e.g., work closely with key stakeholders (Brand, Studio, Proposition, BI Analytics, Ad tech, etc.) and partners like Facebook, Snapchat, etc.
  • Reporting to P&L owners on aggregate Retain and Reactivation performance across week / month
  • Work closely with the brand teams to ensure that ad copy and promotional messaging are aligned to the core brand principles.

Innovation

  • Collaborate with Ad-Tech/Mar-Tech/BI teams for product innovations and development (e.g., platform capability).
  • Own the “test & learn roadmap”, ensure a successful learning process and a reporting structure.

People Management

  • Responsible for day-to-day management of a small sized team (approx. 1-4 people).
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance individual expertise against personal development plans. Identify areas to support skill gaps while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
 
What we need from you:
  • Fluent in the analysis and presentation of data; complex data sets reduced to clear messages resulting in action from the various marketing teams.
  • Min 2 years of experience in Paid Social Advertising, including proven track record of optimising 3rd party relationships with high profile, international suppliers (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat).
  • Significant hands-on and strategic online sports/gaming experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to think Creativity and Strategically; ability to articulate ideas clearly.
  • Good understanding of User Journeys, UX, Usability and Front-End technologies used to deliver them.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills: ability to build relationships to influence and guide amongst various levels of stakeholder seniority.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately to different levels of stakeholders, using relevant levels of detail.
  • Experience of managing multi-brand and multiplatform budgets in significant scale and demonstrating agility and flexibility in spend and target allocation.
  • High-level proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong understanding of digital advertising legislation and codes of practice.
  • At least 2-3 years people management experience is required. 

Desired:
  • Experience in the Gaming industry would be ideal, but not required
  • Exposure to marketing planning in owned and earned media.
  • Hands on experience with Media / Marketing Measurement techniques.
  • Experience of developing Customer Centric products, marketing campaigns or experiences in roles.
