About The Role

We are looking for someone with a strong technical background, experience in privacy and compliance automation and an excellent grasp of data ethics issues, data-driven technologies and applications including AI, algorithmic and data architecture design.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ experience as a data engineer and, ideally, good knowledge of data privacy legislation and the implementation of a privacy-by-design frameworks through the use of privacy-enhancing technologies.

  • Lead the implementation of privacy-by-design principles across the organization, working closely with cross-functional teams of engineering, product, architecture, legal, data privacy, regulatory, compliance and security teams.
  • Operationalise trust through technology across privacy, security, data governance, ethics and compliance, third-party risk, and ESG.
  • Ensure privacy preserving technologies and features are embedded in our data and business process design and various considerations such as privacy, security, operational efficiency and business usability are appropriately balanced
  • Ensure that the data use meets established regulatory compliance needs.
  • Lead the design of the privacy program from a technical perspective, managing multiple privacy and compliance process automation pieces.
  • Partner with product development, software and data engineering teams to drive delivery of innovative privacy solutions tightly integrated into our data driven product and software development process (software/data-by-design).
  • BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, privacy engineering or related field of study.
  • CIPT certification (or willing to undertake this upon completion of probationary period).
  • Strong software development skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate designs, proposals, and results; and negotiate options at management levels.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages (Go, Python, Java, etc.).
  • Strong SQL programming knowledge and experience.
