About The Role
Role Purpose

As a Retail Business Analyst, you will work alongside a team of Project Managers and subject matter experts to conduct detailed research and analysis which helps inform key business decisions.

Typically you will work on a range of small to large scale projects within the retail side of our business. The size and scope of each project will differ, however projects will range from technology rollouts, new product development, process improvement, business efficiency, regulatory change and anything in between. Therefore this role would lend itself to a more generalist Business Analyst, who comes from a strong retail background, working within a large multi-site retailer. 

You will be involved in all parts of the project life cycle, from project initiation, planning, execution and closure, in line with our agreed retail project framework. Furthermore you will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders including subject matter experts and the senior leadership team to ensure the project is delivered on time, on budget and on brief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with key business stakeholders to identify business requirements for assigned retail projects that align to agreed project objectives / deliverables
  • Conduct research and analysis to gain a better understanding of existing business problems and provide recommendations which address these issues
  • Formulate ways for the business to improve our people, processes and systems for greater efficiency, based on research & analysis
  • Document existing business processes, business requirements, map process workflows and other project documentation for a range of small to large retail projects
  • Gain in-depth understanding of systems architecture and interfaces so as to anticipate implications of solution additions, changes, enhancements required within retail
  • Assist business owners in developing comprehensive business cases for change, identifying risk, benefit, cost and timescale analysis
  • Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory and Health & Safety requirements, by conducting required due diligence on all assigned projected
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal & external stakeholders
  • Run workshops, listening groups and training sessions
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • Degree educated in business, project management or other relevant course
  • Have worked in an equivalent business analyst or project management role for a minimum of 2 years previously
