About The Role

With the expansion of the global Entain privacy team and following the development of our policy framework, we are looking for a junior data retention analyst to join our team and support the data retention manager in particular on the implementation of a group-wide data retention policy.

The implementation of the policy requires someone to support the retention project through system information gathering, requirement production and general management of ongoing adherence to the retention policy throughout the organization. We are therefore looking for someone who has experience in project delivery with a focus on information and records management.

This person will also be part of driving a culture of awareness around data retention and data minimization and be able to manage stakeholders at all levels of seniority, including those who will be assigned as dedicated data owners.

This role may involve frequent international travel to other Entain offices.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery / Management

  • Supporting the data retention manager and working with the privacy, information security and technology teams on the implementation of the retention policy, including:
  •   Producing system requirements for data management and deletion activities.
  • Translating policy information into applicable and functional solutions.
  • Maintaining and updating project documentation (e.g. stakeholder lists, risk registers, etc.).
  • Assisting teams to create and manage effective deletion processes.
  • Ensuring ongoing adherence to the policy through regular reviews.
  • Managing stakeholders and updating the data retention manager to assist with the implementation and maintenance of the policy.
  • Identifying high risk systems and working with the data retention manager and system owners to manage and mitigate these.
  • Project administration, including:
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders and data retention leads.
  •   Minute taking and following up on actions
  • Producing and updating reports on project progress and milestones through dashboards that will feed into the overall privacy programme.

Record and Information Lifecycle Management

  • Assisting in the implementation of solutions to records and information management for both electronic and paper records.
  • Providing advice and supporting the development and implementation of related policies and guidance (e.g. Retention guidance to data privacy and business teams for Data Protection Impact Assessments.).
  • Supporting the ongoing auditing of the implementation of the policy to ensure adherence throughout the organization.
  • Facilitating outside counsel for advice/review of retention in different jurisdictions.
  • Relaying updates of group-wide retention policy to relevant business areas and providing assistance in managing any subsequent changes.
Promoting a Data Minimization Culture
  • Helping to promote a culture of good information management across the organization, e.g. through promotion of good practices and relevant information.
  • Assist in training programmes, based on the retention policy and initiatives, to the business, data owners and those responsible for performing the deletion exercises (both digital and paper records).
  • Providing communications on intranet pages and facilitating data retention campaigns.
  •  Producing regular guidance materials tailored to different functions and business areas.
Competencies:

Essential

  • General experience working with data at any level.
  • Understanding of data life cycle management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Multi-tasker with good time management and organizational skills.
  • Degree-level qualified or applicable data privacy experience.
 Desired
  • Knowledge of data protection laws, such as the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • Sports Betting & Gaming experience.
  • Knowledge of international data retention and disposal legislation.
  • Experience with Microsoft office, project management tools or data visualization.
  •  Professional business or privacy qualifications e.g. IAPP CIPM or CIPP/E.
