About The Role

The key purpose of this role is to support 3rd party performance in the property and retail operations space across the Ladbrokes Coral retail and corporate property estates through the implementation of sound commercial governance and the delivery of the identified cost savings in addition to the identification of future saving opportunities.

Additional Information
Key Responsibilities
  • Support all transactional elements of property and operations procurement
  • Deliver all identified retail cost saving opportunities
  • Create category-based procurement strategies and implement within the operational environment
  • Financial reporting and support on invoice approval and queries for relevant areas
  • Build a deep knowledge and understanding of the supply base, providing value adding insights to the property and operations community
  • Operate agile and effective commercial processes
  • Understand critical areas for innovation and build a pipeline of opportunities to be shared with the supplier community to further lower retail cost footprint
  • Identify revenue improvement opportunities
  • Contribute to and uphold the agreed values/behaviours of the team
  • Work with finance to support robust financial reporting on a monthly basis against budgets and stretch targets
  • Ensure contract coverage amongst supplier base
  • Drive improvement initiatives with internal stakeholders to further reduce cost base
This will specifically include: 
  • Support on retail strategy execution
  • Creation of retail relevant category strategies including identification of saving opportunities
  • Provision of strong commercial support to the operations team
  • Creation and buy-in to supplier relationship management strategy to drive improved performance across the supply base
  • Develop an understanding and knowledge of all industry specific procurement gold standards
  • Maximise contract compliance and spend under management
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Onsite management of all aspects of complex UK supply chain across the retail and corporate estate
Qualification & Educational Requirements
  • Graduate calibre with Bachelor’s degree in Business (or other related degree)
  • Post-graduate qualification (e.g. MSc/MBA) or a professional qualification such as MCIPS is desirable but not essential
  • Project Management qualification desirable but not essential
  •  Technically and commercially astute
Specialist Skills & Experience 
  • Sound commercial experience (including strategy creation, implementation and benefit delivery)
  • Good analytical skills
  • Strong people and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
  • Highly organised
  • Self-motivated and can-do attitude
  • Attention to detail 
  • Experience of Property and Operations procurement desirable but not essential
  • Ideally, experience of category management, supply chain management, contract management, commercial management and negotiation
  •  Some experience working in a group wide function with management of international stakeholders desirable but not essential
