About The Role

This role will be focused on supporting the Compliance Analytics team with reporting, insight work, analytics developments and looking at the performance of the various initiatives and their impact on our customers.

 Analytics is at the heart of our Responsible Gambling efforts – we need to understand our customers deeply, understand patterns of play and patterns of potential harm, explore and provide recommendations on different RG approaches and finally understand how successful the various measures being developed by various teams (Data Sciences, Compliance, Product) are and areas of improvement.

Responsibilities within this role would cover full end to end analytics: from BAU daily reporting, through generating insights and recommendations, some degree of predictive analytics, working with third party suppliers and mining external data sources. We are looking for individual who is proactive, data driven, confident, ready to explore new ways to apply analytics in compliance and risk prevention and will be able to hit the ground running.

 The role is to perform descriptive, statistic, deep dive analysis and produce prototype (ad hoc) analysis and reporting generating insight. They will be assigned to work on analysis in domain areas such as, but not limited to, Affordability, Problem gambling, Credit card usage, Source of Funds.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Answer business questions using data and analytic techniques, providing fact-based responses.
  •  Data preparation: define, transform and structure data so that the data is ready for analysis
  • Use control groups and confidence testing to deliver new cause and effect insights
  • Work with developers to operationalize and fully automate any accepted piece of analysis
  • Support the Business leaders on business domains the role is assigned using analytical tools and solution provided by the central BI team.
Essential:
  • Experience in data departments within highly regulated market (banking credit risk, insurance actuary, pricing, financial fraud) or gaming
  • Experience in working with standard analytical toolset: data extraction, analysis and statistical modelling software
  • Experience of investigating and manipulating large complex databases (preferably using SQL)
