About The Role

This role will require you to design, build and maintain solutions for the automation of business processes, data pipelines and self-service reporting for various departments. Collaborating with teams from across the business and the broader Data & Analytics team you will provide innovative solutions that create efficiencies that meet the technical and business requirements. You will work closely with senior team members to design and build a stable live and batch data pipeline. This role will suit someone in the prime of their career, looking to learn new ways to utilise their already exemplary skills in a fast paced and innovative company, working with some of the best minds in the industry.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Identify areas where automation would result in improvement to existing solutions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to determine solution requirements.
  • Implement solutions that automate existing manual and semi-automated processes using a broad range of technologies.
  • Support existing processes through monitoring, debugging and diagnosis.
  • Provide infrastructure setup and support services for other members of the Data & Analytics department.
  • Document processes and architectures.
  • Integrate new and existing applications across the business suite to provide efficient data pipelines

About you

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  •  Advanced development skills in a broad range of serious back-end programming languages (python, c#, java, c++, c, etc) and knowledge of or a desire to learn golang.
  • Experience administering and using source-control, continuous integration and deployment, and/or containerised applications.
  • Knowledge and experience using popular front-end web frameworks (react, vue, angular, etc)
  • Detailed understanding of traditional relational database concepts, administration and design (mysql, postgres, sql server or similar)
  • Understanding of advanced statistical processing algorithms and methods.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts to other staff possessing a broad range of varying technical competencies.
  • Exposure to designing and implementing sustainable application and data architecture

Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with software defined infrastructure (using terraform, kubernetes etc).
  • Knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure platforms (aws, google cloud, azure, etc).
  • Tertiary studies in Computer science, AI and/or Maths related subjects.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the bookmaker industry
