About The Role

Purpose of Role:

There is a high focus on Compliance within Entain at this current time. With several program threads currently ongoing, the requirement for high-level and low-level reporting is being fleshed out by multiple teams and currently overwhelming the newly established team.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities within this role would cover full end to end analytics: from BAU daily reporting, through generating insights and recommendations, some degree of predictive analytics, working with third party suppliers and mining external data sources. We are looking for individual who is proactive, data driven, confident, ready to explore new ways to apply analytics in compliance and risk prevention and will be able to hit the ground running.

They will be expected to proactively work with the rest of the BI and analytics team to support and enable them to meet their KPIs and new propositions. The role is to perform descriptive, statistic, deep dive analysis and produce prototype (ad hoc) analysis and reporting generating insight.

They will be assigned to work on analysis in domain areas such as, but not limited to, Affordability, Problem gambling, Credit card usage, Source of Funds.

  • Answer business questions using data and analytic techniques, providing fact-based responses.
  • Data preparation: define, transform and structure data so that the data is ready for analysis
  • Deployment and roll out of analytical solutions developed with the Central BI team
  • Support the Business leaders on business domains the role is assigned using analytical tools and solution provided by the central BI team.
  • While the initial analysis and solutions will be focused on the UK the role will be expected to transfer them across to other Markets outside of the UK.
  • Use control groups and confidence testing to deliver new cause and effect insights
  • Prototype reports
  • Work effectively with business counterparts to conceive, specify, pilot and implement analytical applications and tools
  • Use abstract thinking and problem-solving skills to identify business opportunities and pinpoint problems
  • Identify new ways of looking at the data, or problems, and present the approach and output
  • Providing the business team with ad-hoc, or regular reporting to support ongoing operations
  • Work with developers to operationalize and fully automate any accepted piece of analysis
Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in data departments within highly regulated market (banking credit risk, insurance actuary, pricing, financial fraud) or gaming
  •  Experience in working with standard analytical toolset: data extraction, analysis and statistical modelling software
  • Experience of investigating and manipulating large complex databases (preferably using SQL)


  • Programming skills involving R, Python is nice to have
