Reporting to the Global Director of Data, Insight & Analytics, this is a senior level role responsible for the delivery of Insights, analytical approaches, analytical tools, presentations and report/dashboard development to organizational stake holders and to business leaders with a Particular focus on Compliance, Risk and Responsible Gambling

You would be responsible for all Compliance and Safer Gambling related insight and analytics across the entire Entain digital organisation, Accountable to Group Operations Director and the Directors within the Compliance part of the organisation.

A critical part of this role is provide Analytics leadership, accountability and vision to this critical area in Entain’s strategy, dealing often with very senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. The role has a great deal of visibility and responsibility in Entain, so we are looking for an outstanding Analytics star to come and lead this area for Entain.

Some of your Responsibilities: 
  • Lead a team of 7 in the the Safer Gambling Analytics team, comprising of BI analysts, Data Analysts, Business Analytics and Insight specialists approx.
  • Lead the Analytics work in the ARC programme (Advanced Responsibility & Care) – Entain’s leading programme to provide unprecedented safeguards to customers by minimizing problems before they arise.
  • Build capability and tools to estimate and forecast financial impact of proposed changes driven by compliance initiatives, and develop scenario planning capabilities that allow senior stakeholders to look at a range of possible options for different scenarios.
  • Drive business change through Insight and recommendations, rather than by reports and dashboards and help to shape the direction and Alignment of Analytics across the company, supporting Group Operations Director
  •  Transform business questions into an analytical plan, select the right analytical technique and tool to deliver an answer that satisfies the person(s) who asked the questions and find and implement analytical approaches to decision making optimisation
  • Work with your business leaders and teams in the Compliance Department to meet their analytical need and support ad-hoc requests you will also be Looking for ways of working with the rest of the BI team to fully automate where the same analysis needs to be repeated weekly or periodically
Essential: 
  • Good understanding on-line gaming analytics
  •  Excellent understanding of Risk Analytics and Business Intelligence
  • Has or is keen to gain experience of building or rolling out advanced data mining models to business users
  • Understanding of financial reporting including income statements and performance dashboards
  • Data Modelling techniques: familiar with dimensions and metrics
  • Experience with surfacing and deploying advanced model outputs into the business operation
  • Experienced Analytics Director with excellent skills & knowledge and experience of using analytical packages, for example; KMIME, Statistica, R, SAS Miner or SAS enterprise guide. Also experienced in data cubes and leverage tools such as SQL
