Purpose of Role

To be a trusted communications advisor, partnering with an area of the business, ensuring they are supported with brilliant, first class communications direction and execution, impacting our employee experience. 

Translate Entain’s organisational culture into reality – championing opportunities for inclusion and co-creation into business plan where cultural fit allows.

Helping leaders to give clarity and bring energy to their teams, the role holder will report into the Head of Internal Communications, and work closely with the business area HR Director/s and Business Executives to provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of internal communications; strategic planning and counsel, compelling narrative, change communication and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be a key member of the Internal Communications team, bringing your knowledge and influence to raise the bar for how leaders communicate with their teams and help to provide a world class experience for our people, measured by Net Promoter Score (NPS) and employee engagement survey.


  • Set and maintain high standards on how we take briefs, manage expectations, provide advice, guidance to the business and deliver on what we promise (inc. the quality and accuracy of the information we provide)
  • Demonstrate a solid knowledge of both Entain, relevant business areas and people strategy and how they’re connected, to help drive understanding across the business through the communications you create
  • Make sure the business area’s strategic narrative, tone of voice, visual approach and campaigns mean that we’re always connecting with our people in the very best way so that they can advocate for business area
  • Actively build great relationships with key stakeholders across business area and the wider business to develop a strong understanding of our priorities, challenges and audiences
  • Be a trusted advisor to the business area leadership team, earning yourself and the wider team credibility across the People function
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to challenge and influence at all levels of the business in a positive and respectful way
  • Be a collaborative and supportive member of the Internal Communications team and also the People team, happy to muck in outside of your immediate role remit to drive the wider team’s success
  • Be a great role model for our values and a pleasure to work with

  • Be flexible to take on additional projects on the business roadmap
Skills and Experience
  • Credible Business Partner with at least five years’ experience in an ICBP role for a fast paced and complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to operate in an advisory capacity to senior executives with brilliant outcomes
  • Strong commercial nouse with a real passion and understanding of organisational culture. Knowledge of making great communications decisions based on it
  • Proven ability to develop and execute communications strategies and plans across multiple channels and audiences
  • Experience of managing and delivering complex change communications
  • Demonstrable evidence of positively influencing employee engagement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Highly driven
  • Actively build great relationships with key stakeholders across Operations and the wider business to develop a strong network and understanding of our priorities, challenges and audiences
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Excellent understanding of internal communications theories and practices and the ability to translate these into practical plans.
  • The ability and pragmatism to move at pace in an unsophisticated communications environment and to know where to focus limited resources for the maximum impact
  • Highly developed creative skills and enthusiasm for developing technologies and social media platforms to engage with our people effectively.
  •  Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and present persuasive arguments to convince others.
  • Good creative, technical and platform knowledge to create and deliver brilliant content in a compelling way through the appropriate channel including intranet, video, print, digital and social media.
