The role in a nutshell:

The global research function helps us understand the climate we’re operating in, how our brands are performing in a competitive context, and gives guidance on customer needs, motivations, preferences and intentions. Entain invests heavily in its brands with a very significant marketing spend, and research is a critical pillar in managing that investment, alongside supporting the end to end customer experience across multiple products.

This role will focus on designing and managing ad hoc research studies within a local market team, overseeing all stages in the process from clarifying briefs to debriefing findings. Research solutions will range from quantitative to qualitative studies or even desk research. Depending on the local market team, some of the research you run will go across countries and languages. Some surveys will be run in-house with our customers other may require using external panels and research agencies. It is highly likely that you will run customer communities to gather certain areas of insight. You will work across brands within your local area and will be focused on projects that support business and brand strategy of those market areas, and play a significant role in ensuring stakeholders learn and benefit from the insight produced. You will also call on the Centres for excellence to support any research requests from your stakeholders where their functions cover the relevant insight and you have a responsibility to know what their areas are saying about the brands you work on and to help them interpret the data they collect.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Designed and executes both quantitative and qualitative ad hoc research projects to meet business needs of allocation region or brands
  • Project design – clarifying or writing briefs
  • Questionnaire design, sample design
  • Reporting and presenting
  • Managing research agencies, and support contract and invoicing processes
  • Attending relevant stakeholder meetings for allocated areas (sports, sports brands gaming, bingo, casino, poker) and feeding back to local MR team
  • Running projects on customer communities
  • Line manage customer researcher – 121s & development plans
  • Occasionally deputise for head if needed


Additional Information

What we need from you:

  • 4+ years in Market Research
  • Clientside experience preferred
  • Experience in quantitative & qualitative research
  • Moderating skills a plus
  • Demonstrably skilled in co-ordination and story telling
  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders
  • Gambling industry knowledge a plus
  • MRS qualification a plus
  • Line management experience a plus not essential
  • Structured and organised personality
  • Pragmatic, self-confident, analytical and approachable
  • English and German at business level
