About The Role

As Head of Analytics you will be part of the Central Insight, Data & Analytics group at Entain, you will lead and carry out strategic insight projects and help explore and leverage Entains data assets to gain a deeper understanding of what our customers value and how we should adjust to meet the changing landscape across all our digital brands.

You will lead the implementation of customer insight for our wide range of markets and products, you will need to have a good understanding of products and customers and in support key marketing and product strategy decisions.

This will involves working with the Central Digital team, Digital Performance team, CRM, CEX, Advanced Analytics team, Reporting team, Research team, and Regional marketing and BI teams in addition to data teams and external vendors.

 

The Day to Day responsibilities: Manage ambiguity, Deliver Results and Stakeholder Management 

Manage ambiguity

  • Understand complex business problems across business units, geographies and product lines to create hypotheses and translate this into analysis requirements and identify meaningful insights that help Entain

Deliver results

  • Direct and Manage the work on establishing and reporting key Marketing and Product KPIs and performance across the organization.
  • Become the key point of contact for Customer Insights across the group, including external communication on marketing and performance
  • Provide high quality strategic analysis and insight to support Marketing strategy and Product decisions
  • Lead insight projects, including: scope alignment with regional and central stakeholders, design, data collection, data analysis, recommendations and presenting results to senior management
  • Projects will be across Marketing which includes Customer Experience, Acquisition, CRM, Customer Performance, Sports, Gaming etc
  • Develop and tell compelling analytical stories (that are succinct in their explanation of data / insight, resonate emotionally and demonstrate business relevance) that demand action
  • Ensuring that as far as possible customer insight / KPI MI generation is scaled, automated, visualised to drive engagement and rapidly disseminated
  • Support the business teams with ad hoc insights

Stakeholder management

  • Build strong relations with stakeholders to understand priorities, define the roadmap and to collaborate and work with them on programs and actions to improve our customers experience
  • Educate client stakeholders on best practices and proper use of digital data and analytics to help them make informed decisions

The Essentials for this role:

  • Robust quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and good business acumen
  • Experience in creating and presenting analysis with insights to stakeholders/clients, utilizing advanced storytelling skills
  • Experience in Digital data, Web analytics, A/B testing
  • Very strong technology, data and analytics skills
  • Advanced working SQL knowledge and scripting for analysis (e.g. Python, R) and experience working with relational databases, as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. Knowledge of Visualisation tools ie. Tableau, Power BI.
  • Proven collaboration ability; can effectively working across multiple stakeholder groups, cross-functional groups, departments and leadership teams
  • Manage a team of 6-7 analysts/ developers
  • Experience of dealing with internal and external stakeholders and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships
